In March 2021, the Turing is hosting its unique two-day online event, AI UK, to showcase the very best of UK academic work in artificial intelligence (AI); bringing together leading thinkers, innovative businesses and specialist third sector bodies. The event will:
AI UK is supported by the Office for Artificial Intelligence, a joint BEIS and DCMS unit. |
|
AI UK is also supported by The Economist. |
The event will take place via an online platform designed to bring a community together. The two interactive stages will include panels and presentations from expert UK academics, policy makers, and industry leaders. There will also be roundtable discussions, hands-on ML demonstrations, and lots of opportunities to chat and interact throughout the day.
This event is for everyone operating in the UK AI community, and there will be content from technical talks to accessible panel discussions. The themes and content are structured around the national AI research challenges identified by the Turing, the role of AI post-COVID-19 and the important key themes of the UK AI Council’s Roadmap:

The UK AI Roadmap |
The conference is designed to showcase the best in academic AI research, and as a result the content is designed for an informed audience rather than the general public. However, we do encourage anyone with a general interest in AI to visit the YouTube channel for recordings of the keynote speaker talks after the event, and to explore our The Turing Lectures and Data Debate series.

AI UK is the first national showcase of The Alan Turing Institute, the UK’s national institute of data science and AI. We want to invite as many people as possible from the wider UK academic, industry and public sectors to get engaged in the incredible research taking place across the country and the access fund provides an opportunity for those who may otherwise not be able to participate because they cannot afford the price.
Our initial set of free tickets have been allocated due to high demand.
