Data science and AI careers: a spotlight series

Explore how data science and AI careers are for anyone

Introduction

How do I get into a data science and AI career? What roles are available to me? Do I need a STEM degree or equivalent to work in this world? What does day-to-day life look like in various data science-related roles? Can I make a positive impact on society in this role?

If you have ever wondered about the answer to these questions, then you have come to the right place: The Alan Turing Institute’s Spotlight Series. In this series, which is comprised of short videos and longer podcast interviews, we ask current data science professionals working across government and academia these exact questions and more.

Funded by the Institute’s Defence and Security partners, the Spotlight Series aims to show that data science and AI careers are for anyone and therefore encourage greater diversity into data science and AI careers.

Please note: The Spotlight Series is free, but we ask that you share some anonymised information about yourself to access them. This is to see who is accessing the series and to ensure that it remains relevant and up to date.
