KidZania London is an immersive and interactive child-sized city, combining inspiration, fun and learning through realistic role play for children aged four to fourteen; the size of Leicester Square, the height of Heathrow Terminal 5 and all built on top of Westfield London.

As part of their Careers Fair, The Alan Turing Institute are joining KidZania to deliver a fun activity and teach children about what it's really like to be a data scientists.

About the event

KidZania London's Careers Fair gives children the opportunity to explore potential careers and learn more about the world of work by encouraging them to work as a team and develop their communication and problem-solving skills. Children will join a series of workshops and hear from experts on careers in STEM, business, public service and data science.

The Alan Turing Institute will run a coding activity, giving children the opportunity to learn about the ASCII coding language and make bracelets displaying their name in code. We will be bringing along some of our researchers to help answer any tricky questions and make sure that children leave inspired to take their first steps into a career in data science.
