The Northern Data Debates

Introduction

Spirited conversations that bring world-leading experts together from a variety of backgrounds to discuss issues of critical interest where data science, artificial intelligence and the real world collide. Sponsored by The Alan Turing Institute, the National Innovation Centre for Data (NICD) and Newcastle Data.

About the debates

Join us in person in Newcastle at the award-winning Catalyst Building theatre, or virtually from the comfort of your own home, for a series of five Data Debates, starting in April and running throughout 2022. The Debates are aimed at the general public and engage with complex questions with real-world relevance, including decision-making, artificial intelligence, the workforce of the future, health, data, and fairness.

Catch up on the previous series of data debates, a collaboration between the Turing and the British Library.
