The AI for Multiple Long-Term Conditions Research Support Facility (AIM RSF) is delighted to welcome you to The Pioneering AI in MLTC: Bridging Research and Practice Conference 2024!

It is scheduled for Monday 09 September (external day) and Tuesday 10 September 2024 (AIM-exclusive day), at etc Venues, Manchester.

This Conference is an opportunity for the AI & multiple long-term conditions (MLTC) community to come together, including AIM researchers, data scientists, clinical practitioners, and those with lived experience of MLTC Attendees can come together and build relationships, share their work, and develop their skills. It’s also a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the work underway across the AIM Programme, the wider landscape and to identify opportunities to collaborate. This collaboration will accelerate cutting-edge research advancement in one of the most pressing areas of challenge facing healthcare today, the study of multiple long-term conditions.

The AIM RSF is committed to convening and facilitating collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and inclusive and collaborative research practices, and recognises the crucial role that lived experience and patient involvement play in improving healthcare outcomes for MLTC communities. Therefore, we especially welcome patients and individuals with lived experiences to participate in the Conference alongside researchers, data scientists, scholars, and clinical practitioners, and to help shape learning and inclusive research practice.

About the event

The Conference will provide a forum for delegates to learn about the latest research findings, engage in workshops and panel discussions, and build relationships with colleagues from across the AIM Programme. The Conference will also explore important areas of common research value and allow these to be considered by delegates as part of an emergent AIM MLTC research community.

Registration is now open, and we encourage you to join us for this exciting event. Please read through the ticket type section for more information.

What is the AIM RSF?

The AI for Multiple Long-term Conditions Research Support Facility (AIM RSF) is based at The Alan Turing Institute, in partnership with Swansea University and the University of Edinburgh. The RSF offers AI and advanced data science expertise and support to the eight  research consortia, as part of a broader £23M investment in multiple long-term conditions research (the AIM Programme).

The facility, led by Dr Kirstie Whitaker embeds best practices in data security and standards, reproducibility, and public and patient engagement across the research collaborations funded by the programme, to ensure effective knowledge sharing.
