About the event
Dr Jonathan Bright, Head of AI for Public Services, and Research Assistants Vincent Straub and Youmna Hashem are presenting at DataConnect23, the government's data conference series. They will present the latest results from a study they undertook which aimed to identify areas where public services could benefit from the integration of automation technologies and state of the art AI applications in their delivery.
Presenting two novel measures for estimating this suitability that have been developed by the team and applied to 50 of the top 75 services prioritised by government, the data will showcase the key attributes of services with the highest potential for tech adoption. Joined by representatives from the Central Digital and Data Office, the session will highlight current efforts by the government to transform digital services, and the important role that empirical research studies such as these can play in informing these efforts.
Through this session, the team hopes to provide the audience with an empirical and usable framework for conceptualising digital readiness in service delivery.
