Introduction
As part of the Turing-Roche Partnership Community Scholar Scheme, the Tech-Talk series aims to facilitate the exchange of technical knowledge and skills between scientists in academia and industry.
About the event
In this month's tech talk, we will be joined by Svetlana Lyalina, Senior Safety Data Scientist in Product Development at Genentech (a member of the Roche Group).
Svetlana will cover some intermediate-level tips and tricks for using high-performance computing (HPC) clusters, going beyond just logging in and submitting a simple job. The structured part of the talk will go over some pitfalls and how to avoid them, as well as useful paradigms for approaching repetitive command line tasks. Attendees are encouraged to bring their commonly encountered problems to the discussion, to see if we can crowdsource some solutions together.
