About the event
The tools, practices & systems monthly seminar brings together researchers, data scientists and software engineers across the Turing and beyond to connect and discover the latest in open research and infrastructure from a mix of internal and external speakers.
Seminars take place on the last Wednesday of every month (except August & December 2021).
Wednesday 28 July | 12:30 - 14:00 BST - Andrew Trask, OpenMined
Andrew Trask of OpenMined, an open-source community whose goal is to make the world more privacy-preserving by lowering the barrier-to-entry to private AI technologies.
"The mission of the OpenMined community is to create an accessible ecosystem of privacy tools and education. We do this by extending popular libraries like PyTorch with advanced techniques in cryptography and differential privacy."
The Tools, Practices & Systems Monthly Seminars will be taking a break in August and resume 29 September.
