Due to the international spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), the decision has been taken to postpone the upcoming UK-Italy robotics and AI workshop. Discussions are currently underway to reschedule and further information will be available soon.
The Turing Institute in the UK, and the key Italian academic organisations working in Robotics and AI, aim to explore collaboration opportunities between the two countries. The Italian organisations initially involved in this activity are CINI-AIIS, (Consorzio Interuniversitario Nazionale per Informatica - Laboratorio Nazionale di Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Systems), Artes 4.0 (Centro di Competenza ad Alta Specializzazione in Industria 4.0 e Robotica) and IIT (Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia).
About the event
The workshop will be held on 18-19 March 2020, at Villa Wolkonsky, the residence of the British Ambassador in Rome. It will bring together leading researchers in AI and robotics from Italy and the UK. This first workshop will help identify collaboration topics and is a very important first step in helping the AI programme establish a firm basis for future joint activities.
The event is sponsored by the Turing and the UK Government Science and Innovation Network.
