Introduction

Are you passionate about sustainable farming practices and combating climate change? Are you curious about the future of agriculture and its role in reducing carbon emissions? If so, then mark your calendars for our upcoming webinar where we delve into the fascinating intersection of Artificial Intelligence and controlled environment agriculture (CEA).

In this webinar, we will discuss the transformative potential of AI-driven solutions for optimizing energy usage and enhancing productivity in controlled environment agriculture. From precision climate control to smart lighting systems, AI technologies are reshaping the way we cultivate crops indoors while minimizing energy consumption and environmental impact.

About the event

This event is organised by the Artificial Intelligence for Decarbonisation’s Virtual Centre of Excellence (ADViCE), aimed at the development of innovative artificial intelligence technologies for decarbonisation applications to support the transition to Net Zero.

As a collaboration between Digital Catapult, Energy Systems Catapult, and The Alan Turing Institute, and as part of the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero’s Net Zero Innovation Portfolio, ADViCE will be delivering a series of webinars focused on key challenges identified in the ADViCE: AI for Decarbonisation Challenges report, which highlights key areas that could benefit from AI adoption in the effort to decarbonise.

This webinar will focus on the intersection between controlled environment agriculture and AI in the drive for decarbonisation. Our lineup of expert speakers comprises pioneers in controlled environment agriculture, who will share their insights and experiences through the following topics:

  • AI-powered energy management systems in CEA.
  • Benefits of leveraging AI for optimizing resource utilization and reducing costs.
  • Real-world applications of AI in energy-efficient farming.
  • Innovations in sensor technology and data analytics for intelligent decision-making.
  • Future trends and opportunities at the intersection of AI and sustainable agriculture.
