Call for collaboration in the Lloyd’s Register Foundation Programme to support data-centric engineering

The Alan Turing Institute and Lloyd’s Register Foundation invite the academic community, industry, and research bodies in the UK and internationally to express interest in collaborating in a programme to support data-centric engineering.

This programme is focussed on research in data science, with accompanying translational activities to ensure impact in the field of engineering, as well as education and training components, in keeping with the vision, mission and charitable aims of both the Foundation and the Institute. Initial topics in this first call will focus on Detecting Anomalies, Scaling Up Analytics and Understanding Networks.

We welcome expressions of interest in particular where there are real world datasets and problems which can be addressed by the Programme.

The closing date of the call is 21st August 2016, though interest in collaboration is welcome at any time.

Please contact the Programme Manager Darren Grey (dgrey@turing.ac.uk 0203 862 3309), for an informal discussion.  Applications to this first call will be led by current Alan Turing Institute researchers but collaborators from anywhere are welcomed.

More information is available in our Research Call document.
