Institute launches summer programme and prepares for first full academic year of operations

We’re proud to announce the first events of our summer workshop series, commencing this week with ‘Innovative Finance for Social Good in the Data Economy’ and ‘Semantic Web and Data Integration: new technologies and application to industry’.  We have a further five exciting workshops lined up ( and a summer programme of research in small groups which is rapidly taking shape. Soon we’ll be welcoming new research fellows and doctoral students to the Institute. As we get ready to enlarge our Turing community and prepare for our first full academic year to commence in October, we’re also happy to announce that our chair Howard Covington will be assuming a more significant role in day-to-day Institute activities as Executive Chair from now through September. Howard brings a wealth of direct experience in fast-pace start-up environments and will add further momentum to our rapidly progressing agenda.  We’re also looking for a Strategic Partner Director to help shape and drive our Turing-Intel research programme focused on high-performance computing and data analytics ( We anticipate posting more roles very shortly, so watch this space!  We hope you’ll come join us on our exciting journey as we prepare for a spectacular autumn.
