Climate action will be a key theme as we discover how AI and data science is pushing the boundaries of what's possible, and explore novel adaptions for a net-zero world.
The showcase, which is partnered with the Office for Artificial Intelligence, will encourage discussion around important topics such as how we can measure progress in AI and how we can achieve data literacy in the UK.
Professor Sir Adrian Smith, Institute Director and Chief Executive of The Alan Turing Institute, said: “We’re delighted to announce the launch of AI UK 2022 and welcome some of the UK’s leading experts to join us in showcasing the best of AI, machine learning and data science research. AI UK is taking place at a critical time, months after the publication of the National AI Strategy, and at a time where AI’s impact on our economy and each of us is rapidly increasing. I look forward to the lively discussion and debate around how AI research can help tackle important issues facing society today.”
