The University of Bradford proudly joined forces with The Alan Turing Institute in 2023, becoming a member of the Turing University Network (TUN).
Here at Bradford, we're actively helping to shape this partnership by promoting a national agenda to our UK City of Culture 2025. With its cross-disciplinary and cross-faculty profile, it is an opportunity open to the entire research community (academics, research staff and students).
We're committed to contributing to the Turing's strategic goals by:
Tackling real-world challenges: Our interdisciplinary research communities and programs are focused on addressing the Grand Challenges through data science and AI.
Bridging the skills gap: Our SAFI Webinar Series, BCS learning partnership, AI-Forum, Heritage Digital Twins project, FAIR research and Space AI centre are helping to address the national shortage of data science skills.
Collaborating for societal good: We're working with the wider Turing community and organizations like Bradford Council, Santander, SSE and the National Science & Media Museum to host events, conduct interdisciplinary research and shed light on this rapidly evolving industry.
Promoting public understanding: We're leveraging our research expertise to enhance societal understanding of data science and AI, particularly in areas like natural language processing, machine learning, and communications.
