Research Associate, Turing

Bio

Adam is a post-doctoral research associate at the Alan Turing Institute. He is part of Project Bluebird, which is a collaboration between NATS, the Alan Turing Institute, and the University of Exeter. The project aims to develop a digital twin of UK airspace in conjunction with the world’s first AI air traffic control system. Adam’s focus is on validating the digital twin against real-world data.

Adam has a PhD in physics from the University of Sydney, where he modelled biological neural networks to explain how the observed highly irregular activity of individual neurons can lead to coherent population-level spatiotemporal patterns. After that, he was a Research Fellow at the Daffodil Centre, a charity where he modelled the most effective and cost-effective strategies for cervical cancer prevention.
