Bio
Alexandra is the Senior Research Community Manager for BridgeAI and part of the Research Community Management team within the Tools, Practices and Systems Research Programme. BridgeAI's mission is to empower UK organisations to harness the power of AI through support and funding, bridging the AI divide for SMEs in the UK. The Alan Turing Institute aims to convene unique expertise across data science and AI to accelerate innovation in low adoption sectors.
She joined the Alan Turing Institute in 2023 as the Research Project Manager for The Turing Way, where she successfully launched The Turing Way Practitioners Hub and supported the project Professionalising traditional and infrastructure research roles in data science.
Prior to that, she worked in the Creative Industry, first as the CEO of 250-staff theatre production company and later, in an arts research centre, managing projects related to mental health and wellbeing in the UK and the Global South. She also launched an SME in London which received awards within its first year of existence.
Alexandra is also a mentor for Laboratoria+, an organisation that promotes the professional leadership of women in Latin America. Always positive and curious, she enjoys supporting and building communities whilst constantly learning and discovering.
