Dave is the Programme Manager for the AI for Multiple Long-Term Conditions Research Support Facility (AIM RSF), hosted by The Alan Turing Institute in collaboration with Swansea University and the University of Edinburgh. The RSF is part of a £23 million investment by the NIHR in AI, and will connect researchers across seven independently funded AI for Multiple Long-term Conditions (AIM) consortia to ensure investment delivers long-term, real-world impact for the programme and beyond.
The AIM RSF also seeks to support and advocate for open, inclusive and collaborative practice that delivers research ‘greater than the sum of its parts’, in order to maximise the scientific impact and potential for patient benefit.
Prior to joining the Turing, Dave worked in the charity sector, delivering a national evaluation programme for a new cancer referral pathway for patients with non-specific symptoms and working with charity partners and national government to translate research outputs into policy change. Dave has also worked in several roles within local government and health, leading on aspects of project/programme management, strategic development and performance & impact management.
