Jiaee is joining The Alan Turing Institute as a first year doctoral student. She graduated from Imperial College London with a BSc in Mathematics and pursued a MSc in Behavioural Data Science subsequently. She is interested in exploring statistical machine learning methods which are optimised to understand human behaviour and decision-making.
Jiaee’s current research interests are in developing machine learning methodologies which are well-suited to analyse human-generated data both on an individual and collective scale. Specifically, the methods focus on the field of deep learning, probabilistic learning and Bayesian statistics. Her other research interests include reinforcement learning and causal modelling.
