Bio

Raman Dutt is a doctoral student at the University of Edinburgh under Prof. Timothy Hospedales and Prof. Sotirios A. Tsaftaris. Previously, he was a Research Assistant at the Healthcare Innovation and Translational Informatics (HITI) Lab at Emory University, USA. His research has been deployed in institutions such as the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and Emory University Hospital. His research interests lie in the efficient adaptation of foundation models for solving diverse medical tasks. Raman completed his bachelor's degree in computer science from Shiv Nadar University, India.

Research interests

Raman's research interest lies at the intersection of computer vision and medical image analysis. More specifically, he investigates algorithms that allow bridging the gap between different domains such as natural and medical images. Raman's research has particularly focused on Parameter-Efficient Fine-Tuning (PEFT) of current foundation models to extend their capabilities to the medical domain.
