Bio
Sara Matijevic is a DPhil student at the University of Oxford, working on deep learning models for survival analysis and time to event data. At Oxford, she is part of the Health Data Science CDT and is based at the Big Data Institute. Sara also holds an MPhil in Health Data Science from the University of Cambridge and an BEng in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Southampton. In her free time she likes to run, play tennis and volleyball. She is also a big fan of the theatre and an avid reader.
Research interests
While at the Turing Institute, Sara will continue to work on stability of deep survival models. Specifically, she is excited to form collaborations with researchers working on the AI for multiple long-term conditions research project, as this is a topic she is exploring during her PhD. Lastly, she is looking forward to participating in multiple Interest Groups, such as Clinical AI and Data Ethics Group, where she hopes to learn more about some of the important challenges in healthcare.
