Bio
Yann is a PhD student at University College London in the Department of Statistical Science working on prediction-centric uncertainty quantification and posterior selection, supervised by Jeremias Knoblauch and Edwin Fong. Prior to his PhD Yann completed a Master's in Machine Learning, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence at Aalto University, where he was also a research assistant supervised by Aki Vehtari, and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics at the University of Manchester.
Research interests
Yann's research focus in on developing generalised forms of Bayesian uncertainty quantification which can ensure robustness and reduce the computational burden relative to traditional machinery, with a focus on prediction. His interests lie in advancing the theoretical foundations of these generalisations and developing practical methodologies for safe prediction.
