Giddeon Njamngang Angafor is an IT Security Analyst at Thames Valley Police. He is also a third year PhD in Cyber Security Research student at the Cyber Technology Institute, Department of Computing and Media, De Montfort University, Leicester, UK. He holds a Bachelor of Philosophy, (B. Phil) from the Urbaniana University, Rome-Italy, and a Master of Science (MSc.) with Distinction in Security Management from the Institute of Criminal Justice Studies (ICJS), University of Portsmouth. His research interests are in Games for Cyber Incident Response. His research interest is in Serious Games and Game-based learning where he is examining how games, especially tabletop exercises can be used to train the next generation of cyber security incident response professionals.
Giddeon's Turing related research aims to collaborate with members of the Defence Security Research Group, the media group, and others to design and develop a prototype tabletop incident response exercise. He is looking to engage an active or experiential learning methodology, employing scenario-based, active pedagogical strategies such as case studies, simulations, role-plays, and discussion focused methods to develop a training package that can be used to train cyber incident professions how to improve the incident prevention, mitigation, and response capabilities.
