Bio
Sarah McGough is an epidemiologist and Head of Technical Innovation & Shared Platforms in the Computational Catalysts division at Genentech Research and Early Development (gRED). She leads efforts to drive adoption of new innovative tech, data, and methodologies to support preclinical research/discovery and AI innovation. Her research also leverages large volumes of patient-level data to deliver impactful clinical, molecule and disease insights and enable personalised healthcare.
Prior to joining Roche/Genentech, she obtained her PhD and MSc in epidemiology from Harvard University where she focused on outbreak forecasting and real-time public health surveillance using a range of machine learning, statistical, and Bayesian techniques. During this time she was also a graduate researcher in the Computational Epidemiology Lab and Machine Intelligence Lab at Boston Children’s Hospital.
She is a lead on the Turing-Roche Partnership.
