Bio

Nikolai Juraschko is a Biochemistry DPhil student at the University of Oxford and the Rosalind Franklin Institute. Before attempting to learn everything about proteins and their peculiarities, he completed an MSci in Mathematics at UCL with a particular interest in Algebraic Topology & Geometry, and their overlap with machine learning.

Research interests

As part of his PhD, Nikolai is trying to combine molecular dynamics simulations with machine learning approaches to automatically identify protein structures in the electron-density map of cryo-electron tomography in a crowded cell environment.
