Bio
PA is a PhD student in Synthetic Biology at the University of Bristol. He develops computational and statistical methods for the rational reprogramming of cellular functions. PA's research interests are at the intersection of machine learning, applied statistics and molecular biology.
Research interests
During his time at the Turing, PA will investigate methodologies to accelerate genetic sequence design. Computer-aided design is already used in industry and academia to explore new molecules, and its potential has yet to be explored in synthetic biology. The objective of this project is to generate new DNA sequences with bespoke properties by combining data from high-throughput experiments and expressive neural network architectures.
