Bio
Sanjay is Wellcome Trust Clinical Training Fellow at the Department for Clinical and Movement Neurosciences, University College London and Honorary Specialty Registrar in Neurology at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queen Square. He is a Visiting Postdoctoral Scholar and Bogue Fellow at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. His PhD research uses knowledge graphs and graph machine learning to identify drug candidates for repurposing to treat Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and Frontotemporal dementia (FTD). These conditions have limited life expectancy and current treatment options are poor. In addition, Sanjay is interested in the development and implementation of artificial intelligence across the healthcare value chain, particularly in the clinical context. He is involved in efforts to better understand the national health data landscape.
Research interests
Sanjay will spend his time at the Turing Institute refining PhD research into knowledge graphs for drug repurposing, and developing initiatives for national health data landscaping.
