Bio

Yuhan is a PhD student in the engineering department, at King’s College London, supervised by Dr. Hak-Keung Lam and Prof. Zoran Cvetkovic. She comes from a multidisciplinary background and has experience dealing with different types of data based on machine learning methods. She has experience in natural language processing, biomedical signal processing, and medical image processing. In her PhD, she is mainly developing explainable deep learning methods to detect surgical instruments as well as classify diseases based on medical images.

Research interests

Under the Turing Enrichment Scheme, Yuhan aim to develop an explainable deep learning framework to detect diseases such as Alzheimer's disease and heart disease based on multi-modal data such as text, signal, and different types of image data.

She is interested in extracting features from different types of data based on different machine learning methods. Additionally, she aims to make the features learned by the machine more understandable by humans and make the framework more transparent.
