Bio

Greg Slabaugh is Director of the Digital Environment Research Institute and Professor of Computer Vision and AI at Queen Mary University of London.  His career has spanned both academia and industry including Huawei, City University of London, Medicsight, and Siemens. 

Research interests

Greg's research interests are in computer vision, with applications to medical image computing, computational photography, and 3D.  His work focusses on deep learning approaches including convolutional, recurrent, and generative neural networks. 

Greg's corporate research has been commercialised into products, including 3D shape modeling, image enhancement, and medical image analysis products.  This work is supported by 37 granted patents.  He was the co-recipient of a best industry related paper prize at the International Conference on Pattern Recognition in 2021.  Greg is an active member of the computer vision and machine learning community, serving as an Area Chair for ICCV 2021.
