Bio
Roly Perera was a post-doctoral Research Associate at The Alan Turing Institute. He obtained a PhD in Computer Science from University of Birmingham, and has also studied philosophy of science and artificial intelligence. His research focuses on languages and tools for data science.
Research interests
Roly's research applies techniques from programming languages to the domain of data science and data visualisation. His current focus is developing practical tools and formal techniques that make visualisations and other data analyses more transparent and explorable, using ideas from program slicing and incremental computation.
