Dr. Agnes Blom-Schieber is a Technical Fellow at Boeing Commercial Airplanes. She is specialised in the design, analysis, modeling and optimization of composite structures. Her current focus is on design for manufacturability, model based engineering and thermoplastic composites. Agnes holds 25 US Patents and 8 Boeing trade secrets. She is an Associate Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) and the chair for the Pacific Northwest section of AIAA.

Previous to joining Boeing Agnes worked in the R&D department at Fokker Aerostructures. Agnes has been a member of the technical advisory board of the TPRC (ThermoPlastic composite Research Center) since 2011 - a research center with multiple industry and academic partners. She is an Affiliate Professor at the University of Washington Mechanical Engineering department. Agnes holds an MSc and Phd in Aerospace Engineering from Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands.
