Imtiaz Shams is a founding partner of Post Urban Ventures, a venture builder that ideates, builds & invests in deep tech businesses. Its portfolio companies include Hazy, winner of the $1M Microsoft AI Prize. He is also the CEO of FLOX, a business applying the best of machine vision & machine learning to chicken farming, to improve the welfare of birds. He is also the co-founder of two non-profits, Think School & Faith to Faithless. Think School creates educational YouTube videos and mini-documentaries in ESL English & Bangla – educating people in areas ranging from Dyson Spheres to the evolutionary history of avian dinosaurs. In the past 2 years, Think has received over 4.3M views across its channels. Faith to Faithless supports people leaving high-control cults and religious groups, and has been featured on Vice, BBC & Economist documentaries. He has a Management degree from the LSE & serves as a judge on its LSE Entrepreneurship Prize. He supports the wider EU+UK entrepreneurship ecosystem by judging and mentoring for various Horizon Europe grants covering areas like space-tech, renewables & ag-tech.
