Jonathan Lawry is Professor of Artificial Intelligence and Head of the Intelligent Systems Laboratory at the University of Bristol. His research focus is reasoning under uncertainty, including probabilistic models of vagueness (fuzziness) and imprecision, applied across application domains including environmental modelling, flood risk modelling, robotics, and multi-agent communications. In recent years he has been investigating the role of uncertainty representation in collective learning, where a population of agents learn from each other and also from direct evidence.
