Bio

Mahwish is part of the Data for Research Programme at The Alan Turing Institute, led by Ann-Marie Mallon. The Data for Research Programme focuses on delivering research ready data. The provisioning of data is often the largest single hurdle for most analytical projects. The aim of the team is to remove this burden and provide tools, standards and processes for integrating and provisioning high-quality data.

Mahwish is working as a Data Wrangler for the AI for Multiple Long-Term Conditions Research Support Facility (AIM RSF). The aim is to embed expertise from The Alan Turing Institute, the Turing Way and broader open-source communities into the AIM research consortia. This ensures that the research outputs which are generated are FAIR (findable, accessible, interoperable and reusable) and more than the sum of their parts.

Mahwish obtained her Bachelors in Mathematics and Masters in Machine Learning from Royal Holloway. She has a diverse background in software support, healthcare and data science. Her experience varies from querying and analysing of datasets to proviiding patient care. She is passionate about health research outputs translating to an improvement in quality of patients’ lives.
