Bio
Miranda is a Policy Research Assistant for the Public Policy Programme, helping to deliver a cutting-edge research agenda in digital society and policy. She holds an MSc in Social Science of the Internet from the Oxford Internet Institute, where her research focused on the roles of labour unions in algorithmic governance in the workplace. She also has a BA in Public Policy from Vanderbilt University, where her research focused on the implementation of data portability in the United States. Prior to joining the Turing, she worked for the Chief Technologist at the US Consumer Financial Protection Bureau on issues relating to emerging AI/ML technology in the financial sector.
