Zahra Pooranian is a postdoctoral research associate at the Turing. She is currently working on the Trusted digital infrastructure for identity systems project.

Previously, she was postdoctoral student of network security under the supervision of Professor Mauro Conti at the University of Padua. She was also part of the Security and Privacy Through Zeal (SPRITZ) research group, and worked on the European H2020 project TagItSmart!, a smart tags-driven service platform for enabling ecosystems of connected objects. Her main activities included researching on cloud/fog storage security and privacy using AI/ML techniques. 

She received her PhD degree from the Computer Science Department at Sapienza University of Rome in February 2017. She was supervised by Professor Enrico Tronci on automatic control software synthesis.
