Bio
David is a Lecturer AI for Healthcare at the University of Manchester and a Turing Fellow. He received his undergraduate degree in Engineering Science at the University of Oxford in 2006 and a D.Phil in Medical Engineering from the University of Oxford in 2012. He was previously a Lecturer in Health Informatics at the University of Leeds.
Research interests
David’s research is focuses on application of machine learning methods to medical time series data. Currently this includes using physiological measurements to predict patient deterioration, and standard video to assess symptoms of movement disorders. He is passionate about translating research into clinical practice and has previously co-developed and implemented a digital Early Warning Score system into multiple hospital Trusts.
