Bio

Jacob Pratt is a Research Associate in the Turing’s public policy programme. He has a Masters in Chemistry from the University of Oxford, earning the Katritzky Prize for academic achievement, and has worked across a range of public, private and academic organisations.  

Jacob’s research focuses on how local and international governance frameworks can ensure that AI is developed and deployed responsibly, and in alignment with emerging AI principles and best practices. Research topics include international regulatory frameworks, the role of international standards in AI governance, AI governance tools, and risk frameworks. He is part of the AI Standards Hub team, and leads the AI Standards Forum for UK Regulators.
