Bio

Lee Chapman is Professor of Climate Resilience at the University of Birmingham.  His research investigates the impact of weather and climate on the built environment.  There are two key strands to this research. Firstly, he has particular expertise in developing and deploying Internet of Things monitoring solutions for transport.  Secondly, his urban climatology background underpins his leadership of the EPSRC funded Birmingham Urban Observatory which consists of a range of sensor networks routinely monitoring environmental variables across the city.
