Bio
Michael Boemo is a Research Group Leader in the Department of Pathology, University of Cambridge. Originally from the United States, he completed a BA in mathematics at Rutgers University and moved to the United Kingdom to complete a PhD in physics at the University of Oxford under the supervision of Professors Andrew Turberfield and Luca Cardelli. He stayed at the University of Oxford to do a postdoc at the Dunn School of Pathology where he also held the Emanoel Lee Junior Research Fellowship in Medical Sciences at St. Cross College. He moved to the University of Cambridge in 2019 to start a research group that studies the mathematics behind cell cycle regulation.
