Dr Phil Swatton

Phil is a Data Scientist in the Applied Research Centre for Defence and Security (ARC). There, he works on applying the latest research in Data Science to produce technical reports and working proof-of-concept applications for challenges in the defence and security sector.

He joined the Institute in October 2022. Before then, he was working on his PhD Government from the University of Essex, where his work focussed on the measurement of political ideology from survey data.
