Bio
Selin is an Associate Professor in Operational Research within Mathematical Sciences at the University of Southampton. Selin joined the University of Southampton as an Associate Professor in Operational Research within Mathematical Sciences in July 2020. Prior to that, she served as a Visiting Faculty member in National University of Singapore, as Assistant Professor at Singapore University of Technology and Design and as Postdoctoral Researcher at London School of Economics and Princeton University. She received her PhD from Cornell University in 2009.
Research interests
Selin’s research is broad and dynamic. While she has ongoing theoretical interest in convex optimisation and statistical learning; recently, her recent research is mostly on robust optimisation and its applications in discrete choice modelling, portfolio optimization and transportation.
