Bio
Tim is a mathematician and developer of software for data analysis. He received his PhD from the University of Warwick for research in the field of probability and stochastic processes. He joined the Alan Turing Institute in 2017 as a Research Software Engineer and has since collaborated on a wide variety of data science projects, from analysing digitised historical newspapers to designing trustworthy systems for digital identity. His interests include agent-based modelling, reinforcement learning, cryptography and decentralised systems.
Tim is also part of the Turing's Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) mission, which aims to deliver new methods, tools and assets to radically improve the UK’s abilities to defend CNI against cyber attacks.
