Bio
Umang Bhatt is a Senior Research Associate at The Alan Turing Institute and a final year PhD candidate in the Machine Learning Group at the University of Cambridge. His research interests lie in trustworthy machine learning. Specifically, he focuses on algorithmic transparency and its effects on stakeholder decision-making. His work has been supported by a JP Morgan PhD Fellowship, a Mozilla Fellowship, and a Partnership on AI Research Fellowship. He is also currently an Advisor at the Responsible AI Institute and a Student Fellow at the Leverhulme Centre for the Future of Intelligence. Umang received his MS and BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.
