Bio

Christine Foster is CCO at The Alan Turing Institute, responsible for driving forward the Turing’s goal to translate its data science and artificial intelligence research into real-world impact. Before joining the Turing, Christine advised Virgin Media on implementing machine learning models to personalise customer interactions, and Liberty Global on building a world-class data science team. While in NYC for twelve years, she held leadership positions at a fintech start-up, American Express, and EMI Music. She built digital analytics teams, implemented predictive models, and generally worked at the intersection of data science and business. Originally from Canada, Christine started her business career as a strategy consultant with Bain & Company. She did her MBA at INSEAD and her BA in Economics at the University of Toronto.

In November 2020, the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) announced Christine's appointment as a non-executive director.

Christine was also featured in the DataIQ 100 list of the most influential people in data in 2020 and 2021.
