Bio
Sizhe is a researcher in Data-Centric Engineering at the Alan Turing Institute. His research focuses on the automation of data engineering and machine learning pipelines. He completed his degree in Computer Science at the University of St Andrews in 2019. His PhD at the University of Southampton studies the addition of epigenetic mechanisms in Evolutionary Algorithms, focusing on dynamic multi-objective search problems.
Research interests
Sizhe is most interested in evolutionary methods, bio-inspired algorithms, and machine learning with large language models. In particular the use of Evolutionary Algorithms for optimising, fine-tuning and prompt engineering on machine learning models. He is also interested in the application of AI systems in virtual worlds, both in the development of virtual agents and in the study of interactions between artificial and human agents. His previous research has looked at identifying players in online video games based on their in-game actions and behaviours.
