Bio
Dr Ting Su is a Postdoctoral Researcher for Spunk Center in Data-Centric Engineering at The Alan Turing Institute.
She completed her PhD in 2022 in Information Retrieval and Fake News Detection on Twitter at the University of Glasgow, focusing on deep neural network, language models, and social network embeddings. She also worked with UK Dementia Research Institute Care Research and Technology Center, Biomechatronics lab in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Wellbeing Tech Lab in the Dyson School of Design Engineering in Imperial college, focusing on developing digital communication tools for people living with dementia and people with asthma.
Research interests
Within the general area of Artificial Intelligence, I am particularly interested in language understanding and knowledge extractions with the recent advances in machine learning and deep learning. My current research topics include: designing and developing chatbot for human interaction with chatbots in healthcare setting; how to effectively automate data pipeline for data ingestion and transformation; machine learning models’. Explainability and how to communicate with the end user; the generative model for reinforcement learning.
