Yifeng Zeng is a Professor of Artificial Intelligence and Head of Subject in the Department of Computer and Information Sciences at Northumbria University. He is leading the Computer Vision and Natural Computation(CVNC) research group in the department. The group has over 10 staff members and 15 PhD students/Research Fellows.
Research interests
His main research interests include intelligent agents, probabilistic graphical models, machine learning, computational intelligence, AI in education and social networks. He received the EPSRC New Investigator Award in 2019 and has managed a number of Innovate UK projects. Most of his publications have appeared in the most prestigious AI conferences, e.g. IJCAI, AAAI, AAMAS, etc. He is an associate editor for a number of journals, e.g. memetic computing, IEEE Transactions on Emerging Topics in Computational Intelligence and so on, and has chaired a series of workshops in AAMAS in the past years.
