Open call for events

London Data Week is back for 2024 and open for applications to host events across the city.

Introduction

London Data Week (LDW) is all about improving collaboration and participation in data innovation in our great city, and we’re delighted to announce that organisations can now apply to be involved for 2024. This year, LDW will be running from the 1-7 July.

About

Now in its second year, LDW is a citywide festival of events and public engagement activities exploring how data can shape our city for the better. It aims to stimulate better conversations and collaboration between different organisations and communities - especially those traditionally underrepresented in this field - and articulate London’s vision and values for using data for the public good.

LDW is structured to be inclusive and distributed, with different types of organisations designing and hosting their own events, united by a common ethos and set of values.

There is huge potential for data science to help tackle major issues, such as the housing crisis and public health emergencies, but many of these solutions require public trust and support. We believe that the most effective and inclusive way to garner this is through engaging with communities on these issues, so that together, we can change London for the better.
