Menu

Introduction

The Ethics team focuses on advancing pacesetting basic research into the ethical and social implications of the design and use of AI and data-intensive technologies. We serve a broad advisory role, drawing on insights from this research to work closely with public sector bodies in the UK and internationally to co-create and operationalise pioneering approaches to AI ethics, policy, and governance.

Our mission is to build an ethical, equitable, and responsible AI ecosystem wherein world-leading AI research, innovation, and policy activities are society-led, values-driven and evidence-based, and to equip stakeholders in these activities with the skills and capacities needed to undertake them in trustworthy ways.
