The Drug Lists repository has been created to share drug code lists across the NIHR's AIM projects and the wider health research community. Created in collaboration with the AIM Consortium OPTIMAL based in Birmingham, these drug lists serve as a comprehensive resource addition for researchers and health professionals.
Understanding the intricacies of drug classifications and the methodology process can be challenging due to the variation between coding systems, missing codes and the absence of transparent and reproducible coding methodology. To address this, the repository stores drug lists with clearly documented and clinically validated methodology, involving two distinct methods using BNF summaries, dm+d browser and snomedizer R package.
These resources including the methodology are outlined in the `generation-process` folder, whilst the drug lists themselves can be viewed in the `drug-lists` folder.
A special acknowledgement goes to the contributors of this project, who have played pivotal roles in the creation of drug lists, documentation, and clinical auditing. The repository operates under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license, ensuring that the materials are open and reusable.
